How To Make An Appointment
You can make an appointment the following ways:
- Online via Patient Access or Patient Services
- By calling on 01594 516241
- By visiting the practice
All surgeries are by appointment. We offer appointments to be booked on the same day dependent upon availability, as well as appointments in advance (2 – 3 weeks) for non urgent matters.
The doctor will hold some urgent on day appointments that they will personally triage, so please be prepared to give some additional details to the receptionist who will pass the information to the GP. The GP will then decide on what action should be taken.
Your appointment will be for 10 minutes. If you require longer please tell the receptionist, and they will try to arrange this where possible.
We also offer daily telephone appointments if you wish to speak to a GP about concerns about your health. Please let the receptionist know if this is what you would like to book.
Please, where possible, phone to book an appointment as it is unfair to other patients to turn up at reception prior to 08:30.
Urgent appointments are for problems that cannot wait until the next available appointment.
Please be aware that for minor ailments, the pharmacist at your local pharmacy is in a position to help and can also prescribe some medications to assist.
If You Are Late For An Appointment
To enable us to keep the length of waiting time in the surgery to a minimum, the doctor/nurse will not see anyone who is 10 minutes late for an appointment.
- If you are late you will need to inform the receptionist, as you may not be seen and you may need to re-book another appointment.
- If you are 10 minutes late, you will need to re-book another appointment.
Cancelling An Appointment
As soon as you realise you are unable to attend for your appointment, please cancel it so that we can give it to someone else.
You can cancel an appointment the following ways:
- Online via Patient Access
- By completing our Cancel an Appointment form
